What we do
Jenn Charbonnet has worked at wineries, in collective tasting rooms, as a sommelier, a distributor, and most enthusiastically as an educator. She has passed the WSET level 3 Advanced award and am currently working on my Diploma in Wine.

Most recently, as “wine emissary”, Jenn has been hired by individuals and corporations to conduct in person and zoom based tastings. She's partnered with a Michelin trained chef and was the sommelier for his private dinners. Additionally, she has been hired by wine bars and restaurants to conduct their staff training as well as special ed
Most recently, as “wine emissary”, Jenn has been hired by individuals and corporations to conduct in person and zoom based tastings. She's partnered with a Michelin trained chef and was the sommelier for his private dinners. Additionally, she has been hired by wine bars and restaurants to conduct their staff training as well as special education courses for their customers. As an extension, she also set up and led an industry blind tasting group that met twice a month to help CMS and WSET students pass their blind tasting and theory components.

strive to take the mystery out of wine, we want it to be approachable and fun.

You will get a 1.5-hour sommelier guided tasting experience with me, at a location of your choice.
We will taste through four different wines from your preferred wine shop and budget. Or you can select from my private cellar. I bring glasses for your party, educational materials and a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine and a saber tutorial.

Not in California? No problem! Wine Emissary offers Zoom tastings. Sessions will last 1 hour. After the specific tasting is chosen, I will reach out via email to discuss your budget and varietal preferences.

There's nothing like getting out in the vineyard! Pick grapes, touch the soil, taste wine where its made. Jenn offers private wine tours in Napa, Sonoma, Paso Robles, Santa Barbara and even a few trips a year to different French wine regions.

Are you throwing a dinner party and want someone to pick out perfect wines to pair with your courses? We can do it. Send us your menu, we will search wine shops in your area and pre-order them. We will write up tasting notes and even explain why we picked each wine to match your dishes.

Jenn Charbonnet is a passionate oenophile who's love of wine is contagious! She's been in the wine business 20 years and has done it all from working at Winery tasting rooms, exclusive resorts, Michelin Restaurants, to slinging wine on the streets of San Francisco.
